In a sea of purses in black and other of similar tonality, the appearance of a white one comes through like a beacon in a storm. Perusing shopping sites has turned up a surprisingly variety of ebullient alternatives to our common affinity to the dark tones. What qualifies these that are shown here as winter-worthy handbags is the concrete presence of leather, giving the body firm weight and a corporeal presence that states confidently that they are meant to be taken out after Labor Day. Whether it’s hardware or trim, flirtations of contrasting pigment provide breaks in the light reflective vastness lest we would be blinded.
