I call forth images from my youth for inspiration. My impressionable fashion years took place in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I remember the fabulous stick straight hair, pink lipstick, caterpillar plush eyelashes, chunked heels and low hip-huggers worn by mother’s friends. On the telly, I remember reruns with women in bouffants and nipped waists, Givenchy suits and pumps with spears for heels. Together, the styles probably look schizophrenic, but in small doses, they actually work quite harmoniously. The to-die-for bracelet reminds me of the numerous opportunities I “borrowed” from my mother.
