Snow, wind, and crisp air all make me extremely aware and connected, if only briefly, to the singular perfection of nature. Memories trickle forth of my stint in New Hampshire, such as covered bridges, communities dedicated to wood-working and crafting and living history museums….places where man addresses rather than competes with the elements. This uplifting Kate Spade design has an organic feel to it with materials raw yet shaped enough to remind us that it is a product of a human mind. Named after a Rhode Island locale on which the forward-minded, Ivy Leagued university, Brown, is situated, they feel totally in place in a stone building or under a tree. Texturally cozy and exuberant by sight, I think even off-campus, they will bode well with the environ, especially for holiday gift shopping.
