Since ages, handbags have been the symbol of one’s taste and sign of one’s level of refinement. Classics, Gucci handbags or Chanel, have been quite popular in the past. Today, the masses tote around current favorites like Louis Vuitton handbags or even Prada handbags. Provocateurs like the spirit of Franco Moschino teases out complacency and leaves behind something beautifully askew. He embodied irreverence in attitude but whose practice has churned out some seriously swanky items. The result is acerbic and witty, a quality that most people find invigorating in the sea of normalcy. One look at his label’s handbag line verifies that, yes, they are elegant. They are based on quintessential forms. Yet, with a heart-shaped key sheath, slightly oversized padlock and gathers that taper the upper profile, elegance is invigorated by esprit. No wonder young or the young at heart like Jessica Alba, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Alicia Silverstone gravitate toward them.
