I haven’t been too impressed by Coach’s fall line, so it was quite a surprise when I stumbled upon this after a routine browse-through. I find most of Coach’s handbags these days are either physically flat and just plain oomph-less or husky looking and causes me to speculate that they would be too heavy to carry in the long haul. The Chelsea Hobo profile has always been a favorite shape of mine, but in the past, I found the application of the pebbled leather to be a little more casual than I would like, not befitting for a charity luncheon (in case I have to get to one, ha ha). I find this Camilla Hobo has the right balance of high and low with its easygoing shape and urbane presence, thanks to a reptilian facade. Decorated with all those grommets and buckles is essential in my book. It’s like customizing your moderate auto purchase before driving out of the lot (Yes, I want the XM, the GPS, and the dual heated seats, please). The Camilla isn’t too expensive either, clocking in at $798. It has the makings of a multipurpose workhorse, able to weather trends and fickled fashion reports. Have a look at Coach. 5″ strap with grommet details, 10″ drop, 11 x 11 x 3 5/8″.
