I love this look where the protective outer shell, i.e. the coat, creates volume, and everything underneath lays close to the skin. The architectural lines of Vera Wang’s wool coat makes an impressive sight. I sense impenetrable strength with its allusion to a kamishimo, the traditional uniform of the samurai class. Underneath, the almost sensual fabrication of Rachel Pally’s jersey dress belies the crisp lines of the coat. I have added these amazing vintage looking boots to compliment the ensemble. The lambskin duffle handbag by GIVE is here to add natural texture and to echo the soft lines of the dress.
