Anna-

I'm not trying to cause problems for you, or any other Tano resellers. I didn't say anything negative about you or your business and there's no reason for you to get so personal here. Including personal information about me in the post you made above is not really necessary or appropriate, and I respectfully ask that you keep my personal details, however you obtained them, private.

There are hundreds of hip boutiques selling Tano bags all over the US and even some abroad- and some of these stores have websites as well. We are, in fact, the only online store that Tano authorizes as their online dealer of choice. I merely pointed that out, as is my right.

Best of luck to you with your online business- no hard feelings.

Dear Ellen, Alexandra, JimsWife, Christina, and anyone else who reads this blog:

I am the owner of eFashionHouse.com. We have received several emails this morning about this post. So, we'd like to clarify the statements above in a professional dialogue.

eFashionHouse.com is an authorized reseller of Tano Products. We have been selling Tano Online for several years. About a year or so ago, we started receiving phone calls and emails from people regarding the "authorized" comments on the Tano site. I called Tano and spoke with Steve who is one of the owners of Tano. Steve explained to me the circumstances with Alexandra's website. She sells Tano exclusively after working with the Tano company for ten years. [SOME PERSONAL INFORMATION HAS BEEN REMOVED BY BagExchange] However, causing problems for other sites selling the Tano product is not very nice. As a matter of fact, by stating she is the ONLY authorized reseller implies sites like ours (and many others) are not authorized. That's not true at all! And, can cause much confusion for online shoppers.

Alexandra was lucky to get a special spot in Tano's FAQs. The rest of the sites/stores authorized to sell Tano are not on the FAQ page. The other authorized resellers are listed on the STORES page.

eFashionHouse.com is listed on the Tano site, too, but under the STORES link within the California drop down menu item. Here's the direct link so you can verify it yourself:

http://tanobag.com/store_results.cfm

Click on the drop down items and select "ca" for California. About half-way down the long list of authorized retailers (some online and some brick & mortar), you'll find eFashionHouse.com.

Ellen, I'm really sorry about the lack of etiquette and research which created this chatter on your blog, but I really needed to set the story straight.

eFashionHouse.com has been reselling designer handbags and accessories online for over twelve years. We've been endorsed by People StyleWatch, InStyle Magazine, Lucky, MarieClaire, FabSugar, ChicAlert, People.com, StyleHive and many other famous resources.

EfashionHouse.com added the Tano label to http://www.BrandsBoutique.com and ValuesBags stores after meeting Steve at a trade show several years ago -- prior to Alexandra's website.

We do very well with the brand and will continue to sell it as an authorized seller.

I'm pleased to see you post the Tano product on your blog, too. Their bags are exactly what our shoppers are looking for! They are stylish, made well, and they have a very modern contemporary design.

The eFashionHouse.com Blog is located at http://www.ValueBags.com. We will be posting your article on our blog in an effort to keep the lines of communication we've established open. We'll include a link back to your blog, and we'll also include the link to Alexandra's site in a professional effort and response to create a sincere calming effect to all this chatter. The world has become totally out of control. If anything, we should all be helping one another, not causing more pain -- especially online where we have a new opportunity to create a refreshing approach to communication and a sense of respect for each other.

Elllen- nice to (sort of) meet you! I share your passion for bags. I've been enjoying browsing your blog tonight... so glad it was pointed out to me by some of my clients!

Just to clarify, I am not an owner of the Tano company- although I wish that I were! I just sell Tano bags online for a living. :)

Thanks, Alexandra, for stating the facts since, as owner, you are the original source of Tano bags along with the family who started this company.

I also would like to support and reiterate the gentle-woman approach brought up by Andrea. It is in our shared interest to treat each other with courtesy when we post. I have been quite laissez-faire with moderating, but that stops now.

Thanks, and like so many, I LOVE Tano!

Hi everyone! I'm Alexandra, the owner of www.musthavebag.com. I've gotten a few emails today regarding the posts above, so I would just like to clarify that we ARE the only authorized online delaer of Tano bags. Below is a direct quotation from the FAQ section of Tano' s website (http://www.tanobag.com) And in case you want to see it for yourself, here's a link: http://www.tanobag.com/faq.cfm

"Are there any online retailers that you would recommend?

There is one web retailer who is authorized to sell our bags online. Must Have Bag meets our standards for customer satisfaction. "

I suspect that "Jimswife" is affiliated with the "discount" websites that she is trying so hard to promote in her posts above. I believe in good sportsmanship, so I'm not going to criticise any of my competitors. All I am going to say is, be sure you know EXACTLY what the policies are in terms of refunds, exchanges, and warrantees before you buy ANYTHING online! Now if you'll excuse me, Im going to start reading some more of Ellen's tasty handbag posts! :)

Christina: That's not true at ALL!!! I exchanged two of the bags I bought at eFashionHouse. I have bought several Tano bags ( and other designers, too) from eFashionHouse.com and they are all brand new styles. They have older styles, too and I found one style there that I could no longer get anywhere. I was really happy when I got it! AND AT A REAL BARGAIN PRICE! Many of the brand new designs are sold there, too. They stand behind their products, too. I have NO idea what you are saying -- do you work for MustHaveBag --- They are NOT the ONLY authorized reseller. They sell Tano ONLY. Efashionhouse on the other hand sells tons of other designer bags, too. I THINK YOU SHOULD GET YOUR INFORMATION STRAIGHT AND HONEST BEFORE YOU POST IT ONLINE. If you want a good price and good service like I got, then eFashionHouse.com is an option online for discount designer handbags. They were even named BEST OF THE WEB by PEOPLE STYLEWATCH MAGAZINE! It's good place to shop. Christine, you are not being honest at all. READERS BEWARE!

Efashionhouse has mostly old tano styles, and doesnt give refunds or allow exchanges if you dont like what you ordered. They also do not stand by their merchandise if you have a problem. Buyer beware!

On the other hand, http:///www.musthavebag.com, Tano's only authorized online dealer, offers great customer service, reasonable prices, and super-fast shipping. I highly reccomend them!
