I find these clutches from Jane Bolinger very attractive. While they are attractive because of the exotic skins, personally, the real reason is the jewel-like clasps. They look real, weighty, and the opposite of faux. They resemble antique kilt pins. For me, shopping around for a clutch gives the same sense of satiation as when back in college, I combat grungy wear and tear with going to Barney’s and buying a luxe lipstick. It’s an immediate rush and contentment when you find what you want at an affordable price. So, if you and I are similar, you probably have been around the block and back trawling for another one to add to your stash. And, you may have been disappointed many times to find that most look hobbled together and made for the Big Lots market. So, finding these is a rarity.
All of her clutches are assembled in the same fashion, with an air of high-end craftsmanship and a bit of individuality that comes in the way of the clasp. The Francesca clutches are created in an assortment of textures and finishings. The Francesca Teal Python with Stone Clasp goes for $1,500, while the Francesca Green/Black Python with Snake Clasp is for $1,800. These and many more for available online, janebolinger.com.
